Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday Nov. 4, 2010 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Americus, Ga.

Mrs. Bobbie Brunson age 71 of 212 Earl Street Americus passed away at her residence Tuesday afternoon November 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held from the Graveside at 3:00 p.m. Thursday November 4, 2010 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Andy Hine and Rev. Damon Fountain officiating. The family will receive friends at Aldridge Funeral Services Wednesday evening November 3, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at other times the family residence 212 Earl Street Americus. All Law enforcement officers are asked to be honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Brunson was born July 4, 1939 in Coffee County, AL. the daughter of the late Woodrow Harrison and Bernice Watson Harrison whom survives. She was a Police Officer retired with twenty two and a half years of service with the Americus Police Department and Georgia Southwestern State University and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Americus.
Mrs. Brunson is survived by her mother Bernice Watson Harrison of New Brockton, Al.; three daughters and sons-in-law; Patty Brunson McCord and James of Plains; B. J. Buchanan and Marion of Plains and Brandi Brunson of Birmingham, AL.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Brunson and Janice, Eddie Brunson and Angie all of Americus; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Ira Grayson and Fran of Little Rock, Ark and Ricky Harrison and Lisa of New Brockton, AL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren four great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brunson was preceded in death by her beloved husband Shelbon Brunson.
